Presentation means a lot to some people

First of all you need to take a look at the way you dress. This is because people are going to judge you by the clothes that you wear. I know that some of you don't like this and will probably argue with me and tell me it is irrelevant. If you are not with the program, then you can join this man in the image on the right. There is nothing wrong with this man's dress code as long as he is not trying to be a salesman. This image is actually a picture of someone trying to look like a pimp. If you are in that business then I guess that this Hub does not apply to you and you should be looking for advice elsewhere.

Some men ought to shave more often as well and buy some scissors to cut the hair that is growing out of their nose. If you have bad breath, then see a dentist immediately and get it fixed. Take a shower every morning and look at yourself in the mirror. If your hair looks terrible then do something about it. Using Gel is a good way to hide the fact that you have not had time to get a haircut. Once you have overcome the "external look" problem you will need a proper definition of a salesman. Forget what Wikipedia is saying about it because it is misleading.

Definition of a Salesman

Lose the Stigma of being a salesman

The video above was created because there is a certain stigma that a salesman has to live with. A good salesman will not tolerate this because he sees himself as an incredibly useful person. I am going to be cheeky and tell you that marketing and sales are worlds apart. If you market rubbish products and do it well, you can be successful. The internet is full of products that are low quality and selling really well through E-commerce and cheapest prices are normally what most marketing people are after. These people who sell these things are not salesman. They are just marketing machines. There are of course some exceptions. Some people have such good products that when they do their marketing they are not going to sell anything cheap. Take a look at my video production of a company who knows a lot about quality. I respect this company more than Google, Facebook and Twitter because they have their own content and that is why they can be prouder. Good salesmen don't depend on their search engine positions for keywords because quality is not going to be decided by an algorithm

A confident salesmen does not need marketing people but could use them. The marketing people are there to simply amplify his gift.

AWESOME CONTENT, AWESOME UNMATCHED QUALITY

BUY A DECENT WATCH

Some great salesman don't need this sort of advice because they are already accomplished. The thing about a powerful salesman is that he is unafraid to lose a sale, even for a massive amount of money. This is because he has integrity. I am not talking about sleazy salesmen but first class salesman. Maybe a first class salesman will own a decent watch because he knows some of his clients are going to look down on him thinking that he is desperate to get someone's business. The fact is that the most effective salesmen don't need anything from you. No! you need something from them and they know it!

The next video has to do with some basics that salesmen ought to know about. There is more about this on my website and the next video is just a simple introduction for anyone who is imagining that salesmen are irrelevant.

5 POINT SALES

Are all salesmen sleazy?

How do you view salesmen?

  • Salesmen are all sleazy
  • No! Some are exceptional and I need them to help me!

Great hub. I'm not a salesman, but I believe you're right. I personally hated when I walk into a retail store/dealer of any sort and the salesperson starts chasing you...when will they learn....

Thanks
